Noel Baker: Story Consultant
Writer, story editor, and screenwriting teacher, Noel has just optioned two television series to White Pine Pictures, and another to Sarrazin-Couture Entertainment. Noel early on achieved acclaim for writing the award-winning script for the punk road movie, Hard Core Logo, but he’s equally adept in television. He co-created the Showcase/Oxygen dramatic series, Show Me Yours, and developed/co-wrote the pilot episode for Ken Finkleman’s series, At The Hotel. Rewrite jobs include everything from MOWs to mini-series to the star-studded feature film, Between Strangers. Noel has several projects nearing production including a wrestling comedy, Mad Dog and The Weasel (for Sarrazin-Couture), and the animated fable, Pig Tale (Foundry Films), which Aaron Woodley will direct. His latest produced project is the hockey/Bollywood feature, Breakaway. Noel has served as Writer-in-Residence at the Canadian Film Centre since 1999, and continues to teach workshops across the country, notably for Praxis.
